Because of the demand for good quality re-rented and used Hysters as cost effective alternatives to purchasing or renting new machines, a close eye is kept on all the machines it rents out, rigorously monitoring their performance, maintaining them and servicing them on time every time (to the highest standards). A new Hyster truck rented from Barloworld Handling is typically rented over a 60 month or 12 000 hour operating period. Thereafter the machine is assessed by the service department and depending on the number of operating hours it has clocked, it is either rented out as a ‘merit spec’, backed by a six-month or 1 000 hour warranty, or a ‘budget spec’, backed by a three-month or 500 hour warranty. Once a Hyster has clocked its full 12 000 hours, it is sold as an approved used machine.
